As "Operation Typhoon" drove up the Volokolamsk Highway towards Moscow, the Soviets gave ground grudgingly. Aided by the snow and mud, the tenacious defenders took a heavy toll. The offensive gained new vigor however, as the ground froze in the mid-November, allowing supplies and reinforcements to be brought to the frontline units.
Objectives: A platoon of KV-1's blocks your advance. The thick skins of the KV is impervious to your KwK L/42 cannon, so the company has halted and taken cover. Air support has been promised, but the village along the road to the east must be taken. Your CO has decided to flank the village strongpoint. While one platoon demonstrates to occupy the KV platoon, your platoon will move north at top speed, then east to approach the village from the north. You will be accompanied by one platoon part of the way, but it will halt as you turn east to supply overwatch support. Destroy all strongpoints in the village.
